PWA Superstar of the Month: Gustavo Mendoza

He is known to be one of the most dominating forces in the PWA. His actions in the ring are as deadly as his actions outside of it. He is Gustavo Mendoza.

Just like his PWA career, Gustavo Mendoza’s rise to the top ranks was not easy. This is the story of how a General dominated the wrestling ring. General Mendoza’s story starts deep in the heart of his homeland, Cuba. He did not have much growing up. “I had to fight to get the things I needed”. His training to join the army was grueling and punishing. But, this only made Mendoza stronger, smarter, and better prepared for the journey that was about to come. It is unclear how Gustavo Mendoza became a General; all that is known is that he was appointed the position during a private ceremony held by the elite of the Cuban society. Mendoza quickly made a name for himself as he became a master of the art of war.

 

General Mendoza had accomplished it all; he felt invincible. But, he wanted more! Mendoza decided to pursue his greatest passion of all; he wanted to go to war in the middle of the squared circle. General Mendoza, having a great tactical mind, knew what his next move had to be. “I had to leave Cuba and begin my career in professional wrestling”.

Mendoza soon found himself at the door steps of the Pro Wrestling Alliance. General Mendoza was used to getting what he wanted; thus, he was surprised and extremely angered that he was denied entry into the PWA. “Did they not know who I was!?!” Mendoza was forced to contact the one man who had done right by him since day one. Gustavo contacted Cuba’s Secretary of Defense, Rubio. “With Rubio by my side, PWA had no choice but to allow me entry”. Soon enough, Gustavo Mendoza began to train body, mind and soul at the PWA. “You need to have a certain kind of thought process to survive in a wrestling ring. I benefited from my years of serving as a General”. Since his PWA debut, Gustavo slowly climbed the ladder of success. “My opponents were some of the best. Each month they seemed to get tougher than the last. I still squashed them like the no good vermin they are”.

Gustavo Mendoza’s PWA record is quite impressive. He joined forces with Rubio to form Team Cuba. Some battles were won, some were lost, but Team Cuba is focused on winning the war. “I am the leader of the top team in the PWA. Not a show goes by without our presence being felt. That’s power”. Gustavo Mendoza has wrestled all the up and coming stars of the PWA and has even gone to war with some legends of the wrestling industry. “I am proud of what I have accomplished. Cuba has supported me from the beginning”. We saw exactly what Gustavo was capable of when he won the PWA championship at Critical Condition last month after defeating VIP in a title match. PWA should definitely fear the deadly Cuban. “Now you will all see…you will all see! Team Cuba is here to stay. CUBA!!!”
